Whew, what a week! Babykins hasn’t been sleeping well, and I think it’s mostly because she’s been learning so many new things the last few weeks. She started crawling just two-and-a-half weeks ago and already she has moved on to pulling herself up and “cruising” around the room using the furniture for support. She has also figured out how to crawl through a table to get into the dining room, which is off limits. Unlike our eldest, she actually loves to be told “no”, because she considers it to be an exciting challenge.
Although I know that being consistent in boundaries will eventually be effective in teaching her, can I be honest? I’m exhausted by trying to stay ahead of her! Our four-year-old only ever needed to be told a couple of times, then we knew she wouldn’t touch the knife or outlet or hot coffee. This baby… we tell her “no” and we know she will try again until she succeeds in touching it. So, there you have it. I’m tired and frustrated, but I’m also loving watching her and her sister learn. Being a mama is so amazing and I know that the challenges are worth every bit of effort that they require.
We’re changing the set-up for the dining room, so I decided to let Babykins crawl through the table instead of making it a battle.
How cute is this?
And my mom made this absolutely adorable dress for Pumpkin!
And it has an amazing “twirl factor”, which is a very important criteria for a dress.

That dress is SO cute!
Isn’t it precious?! My mom is thinking of making them to sell on Etsy.
It can be frustrating. I can totally relate to the enjoying watching them grow, but frustrated at the same time. Natalia recently discovered she can move around a chair and climb on it, this gets her the perfect height to reach onto the stove. The first thing she tried.
I was right there so got her before she got anything.
I’m glad I’m not the only one.
I’m also glad she didn’t try that stunt while you were in the bathroom, or something! It scares me to imagine what kinds of things this little girl is going to try when she’s a bit bigger. *cue the spooky music*
