Just after my post about parenting with patience went live, I was nursing the baby and heard my four-year-old shriek. I jumped up and ran to the bathroom. There she stood, crying, while the entire roll of toilet paper floated in the toilet… the used toilet! Ugh. “Love is patient.”
Many, many things like that happened this week and I was actually surprised at how often I had the opportunity to use my “love is patient” reminder.
Do you remember what I said last week about loving watching my four-year-old share with her baby sister? Well, this week I got to watch our nine-month-old learn how to “share” back!!! Adorable! It is a little hard to figure out when she’s just “showing” us something, rather than “sharing” (we often show her things, such as material at the craft store, that we let her touch but don’t actually give to her). It makes my mommy-heart burst with joy to watch my girls loving on each other!
Speaking of cute, I walked into the kitchen and found my hubby and four-year-old, Pumpkin, harvesting dill seeds on the kitchen floor. So sweet!
We started our September health challenge, yesterday, which is to get more and better sleep. I actually did get to bed by 10:30 and read in bed, but then I had fevers and chills until 1:30AM. I guess I’m allergic to going to bed early!
Honestly, I have no idea what was up with my temperature, but I stayed in bed and I’m thinking I’ve fought off whatever it was. Is anybody else out there working on better sleep?
Our Etsy shop is sooooo close to opening and we are so excited about it! My hubby, mom and I have all made things to sell and I think you’re all going to love them! Would you like a sneak peak of one of the things that will be for sale? Here’s an apron/head band set for a little lady to help her mama in the kitchen! (Isn’t that just the cutest model, ever??)
I’ve also started working on an ebook about preparing for natural labor and birth. Please feel free to ask any questions about natural labor and birth here or in an e-mail. I’d like to be sure to include everything people want to know!
When I’m going to find time to actually write it, I have no clue! My daily routine is just going to have to get better organized, because I don’t want to be glued to the computer when the girls are awake and I’m not up for very long after they are in bed… Hmm. I’ll have to figure that out. Any suggestions from fellow bloggy mamas?
I hope you all have a blessed week!

Hi Justyn,
Regarding “love is patient” … Do you choose to be patient because you love, or are you already patient because you love?
With my husband completely saturated in work and unavailable … And no family or friends without kids, and no daycare would ever work for our family, I find myself very short on patience many days. Would love your insights … Please notify me via email I’d you respond as there’s no subscribe option.
Blessings,
Glory
I am doing a follow-up post to answer this and also to add a little more info on the practical aspects! Thanks so much for the question, Glory!
