I asked on Facebook if you all would be interested in a behind-the-scenes glimpse into our lives. There was some interest (I’m not actually that interesting, but I know I love to get to see what life is really like for my favorite bloggers), so we’re going to try it out for a few weeks and see how it goes.
Babykins (our eight-month-old) has been crawling for just over a week and is quite the little explorer! I can hardly keep up with her! With our older daughter, “Pumpkin”, we only had to tell her once not to touch something and she would leave it alone. Reality has smacked us right between the eyes with this little one! All I have to do is tell her not to touch something and that item immediately goes on her “touch it at all costs” list! These two girls are completely different, and I will be posting about what I’m learning on that topic, soon.
It’s been such an adventure to watch our little explorer and her adoring older sister…
This end table is meant to be a barrier between the living room and the dining room. Clearly, this obstacle has been conquered by our determined little red head. I used to think that the whole “red-headed people are spit-fires” thing was just because that’s how they are treated. I’m not so sure, anymore! This baby has been this way since day one… now, she’s able to act on it, though, since she’s mobile!
We actually had to move the rug, because she will not quit trying to chew on it! So determined! But isn’t she adorable?!
When I wasn’t chasing Babykins, I managed to make some bentonite clay capsules for our August detox!
And I’m perfecting the “frappuccino” version of my popular mocha!
This is my favorite… my girls with their Daddy!
So there is a snapshot of our week (thrown together very quickly, though I plan on adding little things daily with future posts). It’s a lot of damage control and trying to anticipate disasters so that I can avert them. Not always a successful effort…
What happened in your week?

What a great idea! I love that glimpse into your ‘normal’ day.
Thanks for sharing that part of you with us. Looking forward to getting to know your lovely family better.
Aww, thanks! I think it’s going to be a lot of fun for us, too.
What beautiful “gifts” you have! And what a blessing that you have shared with us..kind of makes us more “real” to one another, don’t you think?!
They are so precious!
I got enough sleep last night for the first time in over a week, so I’m doing a ton better, now. It is so important for us to be “real” rather than try to put on a “look how perfect and organized I am- I’ve got it all figured out” facade. I’m hoping that my behind-the-scenes posts will help with that.
Thanks for the comment!
