Surviving to Flourishing- Part 4: Making Plans

This is the day to make some solid, possibly drastic, plans to get out of survival mode! I’ve already done this and I can assure you that it’s worth it. I’m so excited for each of you! I really encourage you to get out a pen and paper and write down your answers for each step.

So far, we’ve looked at where we’ve been stuck, we’ve given ourselves a reality check and a vision, we’ve done the necessary prep work and now we’re going to make the plans that can get us where we want to be!

I know that many of you are so sick of just surviving that you want to jump in with both feet and change everything! 🙂 Good for you!! Before you hit the ground running, it’s worth it to take just a little time, thought and prayer to make sure you don’t fizzle out after a week or two.

In my journey from surviving to flourishing (and I’m not completely there quite yet!) I found that every time I got frustrated with how things were and made a snap decision to change, I failed. I hadn’t thought it all through, made my plans and really committed to it. My heart was in it at the moment, but there was no staying power to my changes.

Surviving to Flourishing- Part 1: My Story

I haven’t “arrived” in the land of flourishing, but I have come so far this last year. If you feel like you’re just surviving your way through your life, I’d love to encourage you by sharing what I’ve learned, changed and planned to get out of survival mode and into a more meaningful, intentional and peaceful way of living.

My Background

Although it may seem like it at times, I haven’t always lived in survival mode. My life used to be very well balanced between active and restful, social time and alone time, work and fun… it just didn’t seem that hard to say to myself, “Hey, I’ve been out and about a lot this week.
